Dermaroller

Dermaroller is a revolutionary device which has the ability to naturally stimulate collagen and elastin production in the skin without damaging it.  Derma Roller is great for scar removal (including acne scarring), stretch marks removal, anti-ageing, wrinkles, cellulite, hair loss and hyper pigmentation. The Scientia Derma Roller (or skin roller) has the features of a precision engineered medical instrument, with the ease of use necessary to use this in the comfort and privacy of your own home. It is based upon a simple hand held roller which has 192 surgical steel micro-needles which are able to part the pores of the top layer of the skin without damaging it. The pores close again around an hour later, but during that time, your skin is significantly better able to absorb and benefit from skin creams.
As you roll the skin roller over your skin, it creates pin point punctures into the dermis – the majority of which are simply pushing your pores open temporarily. This is perceived by the body as damage, which stimulates the release of growth factors that trigger the production of collagen and elastin.    Of course, the speed at which you will get results depends on what you are treating and how extensively your body needs to remodel the affected area. This process of skin remodelling can go on for months after each Derma Roller treatment, but noticeable results can be seen within a week!
Recovery
t is very important to continue using the topical creams for at least 6 months post-procedure to ensure the production of healthy collagen and elastin.

Risks

Maybe some short-term minor bleeding, redness of the skin and occasionally bruising for the first 1 - 2 days. Transient redness/itchiness of the skin, minor flaking, dryness and rarely scabbing may occur for a few days following treatment. Very rarely hyperpigmentation (mild darkening of areas of the skin) – this normally resolves after a month. Small white dots (milia) may occasionally form – these can be removed by your practitioner. If you have a history of herpes simplex blisters or cold sores, a reactivation of this condition may occur in the treated area and there is the possibility of skin infection any time a skin procedure is performed.
